Research Into canons past Adverts

Image
In the past canon has been known to make two different kinds of cameras (which is the professional camera and the accessible camera) and this is reflective in their advertisements as above they show how one of their professional cameras (the EOS 5D) can be used to capture landscape shots with great clarity and colours compared to the advert below which is for one of their accessible cameras which shows a camera clearly not meant to be passed off as a professional camera as the image just shows how small the camera is in someones hands showing its portability and ability to travel light.

Smile campaign rationale

Image
In the past the company mind has done many campaigns such as the ourbluexmas campaign which was targeted at helping people at Christmas time when it comes to weather and food and the do one thing charity which was made to help inspire people to do one thing for someone that makes them feel better. For the smile campaign I think I will in a way combine these kinds of campaigns together as smile is all about seeking help from mind and also letting people know that it’s ok to take breaks in order to get your mental health better. Stress is usually is a temporary feeling that usually doesn’t last long (acute stress) and stress is mostly comes from one situation or problem which the victim of said stress fixes or slowly goes away there is a sense of relief and calmness which is why I think my advert is good for smile campaign as it shows all of the stages of what someone dealing with stress has to deal with.   The assignment is to create a Advertisement for mind which is to help reduce stre

Smile Campaign Resource List

Image
This image below is my resource list for all of the equipment and software I will need during the production of the smile campaign advert for the company mind. The reason i have these written down is so I have what I need throughout the whole production process.

Smile campaign cast and crew

Image
The image below shows a cast and crew of the smile campaign advert for mind. This was made as to plan out who will be involved in the production process of the advert. This image below is the meeting minute for my smile campaign project. The reason I have done this is to show that maintaining contact and communication with the cast and crew is very important so I made a meeting minute discussing peoples roles in the production.

Smile campaign location scouting

Image
These images below are examples and my location scouting for the advert for the smile campaign.  The reason I have done this is because i have to get permission from people to film in sustain places such like Sunderland college in my project.

Smile campaign risk assessment

Image
These images below are of a thing called a risk assessment. A risk assessment is a part of pre-production that involves me writing down ways that people in the production stage can be hurt for example I have put that the actor could trip over so I make it safer for them buy moving things like wires and other obstetrical out of the way so it is safer during filming.

Podcast preproduction plan

PODCAST PROJECT PLAN AND RESEARCH   Ahead of embarking on the SMILE Campaign, plan and research your Podcast in detail as part of your Pre-Production for your episode. Use the questions below as prompts and upload to Blogger.    Describe your podcast: What do you hope to achieve? What is the purpose/function of the work? Is it for entertainment, promotion, information, education etc? What is the structure?   The idea for the next podcast is to reduce stress in the reader and the way I will do this is either speaking about new films coming out or talking about great films that are already out along with games and such and how playing with others can help you forget your struggles and therefore reducing stress.    Having produced a pilot episode of a Podcast, what did you learn from this experience? What do you think you did well throughout the pilot, and what needs to improve ahead of  the Smile Campaign episode? This should relate to technical elements as well as your contributions to

Script for smile campaign

At the beginning of my pre-production I first had to write up a script for my advert that is supposed to promote the idea of a smiling through stress. Script smile campaign from JoshuaRobinson100

Smile advert storyboard

These images below are storyboards for my advert idea for the smile campaign. The reason I have made these storyboards is because on the day of shooting I will be able to look back and these rough drawings imitate them with my camera and actors.

Audience / Primary Research For Mind

Image
This was the first question that i had asked in the  survey and I have found out that my target audience is from the ages 16 to 20. This is useful for the reason that it helps me narrow down the kinds of things that this age group does for fun and helps them relieve stress. This is both useful for the smile campaign advert and podcast as they now because of this survey while have more of a clear idea of who to market towards the in both mediums. Most of the audience I have is male this like before helps me pick things that, that specific audience does to make them smile. I can also market more towards that audience and research into what makes men feel less stressful or what they can do to relax. This doesn’t mean I won’t be marketing towards women in my advert for smile since 40 percent of the audience is women which is still very high so I will also be researching into what makes women feel stressful as a whole along with what I can do to appeal to them in the advert in terms of what

Research into mental health

Image
In 2021 it is estimated by singlecare.com that 13% of the world’s population suffer from substance abuse through mental health problems this largely comes with stress to these people and that’s what mind wants to help out with in the United Kingdom. This is definitely something I can incorporate into my advert as I can possibly have the idea of substance abuse be a part of my advert to try reach a wider audience who suffers from substance abuse due to stress and this will link to an overall story that is good for an advert about stress and getting help. https://www.singlecare.com/blog/news/mental-health-statistics/ It is said in the United Kingdom 1 in 6 people have suffered through mental health problems, and that’s something mind through the smile campaign what to help out with as they want to mainly help young people and old through their times of stress and hardship . This is something I can definitely mention at the end of my small campaign advert to let people know what mind is a

research for existing products

Image
I have researched into charity adverts that help with mental health and I have found a pattern in the way that they are made as they always end with saying in some ways that its ok to ask for help when I comes to your mental health and speaking to people is the best way to get past mental health problems. This pattern is an idea I could possibly use in my very own advert when I make it as its a great final word to leave on an ad about bettering your mental health. In mental health adverts at the beginning of the colours we look at are usually very muted and meant to invoke a sense of dread or a sense of feeling uncomfortable in the audience and as the advert goes on and as our protagonist betters themselves The colours become more brighter to show their mental health has improved. "We All Have Problems" - Mental Health Awareness Ad - YouTube In this advert below the ad focuses on what the person with mental health problems feel and I think this is a good thing to use in my ad

Mind Client Brief

Image
Who are they, what have they done? The client’s name is mind and mind is a charity organisation that helps people in the UK with mental health. In the past the mental health organisation has done lots of different charity campaigns like the ‘do one thing’ campaign which was made to inspire people to try something new to help get them out of a mental health problem that they may be having. Another charity event they have thrown was the ‘ourbluexmas’ charity event in 2017 which was made to help people have a nice Christmas no matter what how much money they had and help protect people who weren’t well-equipped to take on the cold weather at Christmas time. https://www.carlisleunited.co.uk/news/2020/october/mind-do-one-thing-this-world-mental-health-day/ https://oscarkilo.org.uk/mind-charity-launch-ourbluexmas-throughout-december/   When did they start and who do they help? Mind was first created with NAMH (National Association for mental health) in 1946 and has been helping people all ar
