Podcast production documentation

Image
The production process of the creating a smile campaign Podcast was quite simple as I asked a classmate of mine called Matthew Bainbridge to be involved in the process and I and him both started to think of what we both do to reduce stress in our lives so we could match the company Minds goals for the smile campaign as they want to reduce stress in the UK population through the idea of slowing down and enjoying things and smiling. I first began this process by booking time to a recording studio in Sunderland college. The reason I needed this is so that I would have enough time to record the podcast along with having time to set up all of the equipment and and also so that when recording the audio for the podcast there wouldn’t be any annoying background noise as the rooms in the recording studios have very dense walls and density foam that helps with blocking out background noise that could be intrusive to the podcast I was trying to create. Also having the recording studio helps with ...

Canon Evaluation

Image
In conclusion this poster is great for the canons campaign as it effectively complicates that the night life Aesthetic without being too confusing to look at.  The colours that are being used are picked with a certain reason as the sky is purple which represents bravery and wisdom which is why it’s on the the poster. Green is the colour of nature and that’s why it’s on the ground, the colour blue represents intuition and inner peace so I chose the subject to be that colour. And red is the the colour that’s the most eye catching so it’s the colour that covers most of the image making this advert great for catching peoples eyes. The slogan of the advert is “we help you show the distance”. This wording is a play on “go the distance” as its a line that is very common as it can be used in lots of different ways as it’s been used in different variations as it’s been in adverts supporting marathons and things of that nature. It’s also been used in the past for mental journeys to he...

Canon Pre-Production/Production/Post Production

Image
Pre Production Ideas and  Experimentation The image above are the first attempt at creating a canon advert for the journey campaign. The reason this advert looks very different to the final products is because I just wanted to experiment with Photoshop and its features before creating my poster. In my experimentation I used multiple layers and filter pre-sets for the first time. I also got used to using the lasso tool in Photoshop as I used it to cut out portions of the image and then applied a image behind that layer to clash both images together to get a cool effect. Production The images taken above were taken on an Iphone 11 which has a  dual-lens 12 MP rear camera  array as its camera and I took these images in the 1080p   resolution  and these images were considered for the final product but after trying to edit them they turned out not as good as they ended up looking odd and not like any i wanted for my advert but this is okay as they weren't the ones I...

Canon resource List

Image
The list above is a resource list which is all of the resources I will end up using in poster for canons campaign Journey along with where these resources that I need can be acquired and if I have the resources at this moment in time (before production).

Flat plan for canon

Image
The image above is the flat plan for what I want to create for the canon advert. The effect that I want to create is a 50/50 split it in the middle with the same image but one of them is flipped horizontally to make a cool effect where the image has the subject twice on one single image.

Canon Cast list and Contributors Release Form

Image
This image above is the cast list for the Canon Journey Campaign. There isn't a lot of cast members for the canon project as its only an image. The camera operator Joshua Robinson (me) is also the editor and creator of the advert and Madison is the subject/model for the image that gets used and edited by myself.

Canon Rationale

Image
Pre Production Target audience The target audience for these advertisements is people who are people who love to travel around so they will be more on the younger adults range like from the ages 18 to 30. The print adverts are to be both targeted at males and females not just a specific gender. These print adverts are the right way to go as these print ads can be posted up in public and that is where my target audience is going to be as they are travellers along with these ads can be very easily put on social media which is where my younger target audience is. These images below is in the same lane as to what i want to make as the night time this associated with young people and night life which is seen as an activity young adults do. also the bottom advert is something I would love to recreate in my advert. I have learned from research I think This Image below shows the kind of advert I want to portray as I want market to students that are great with cameras and want t...

Research Into canons past Adverts

Image
In the past canon has been known to make two different kinds of cameras (which is the professional camera and the accessible camera) and this is reflective in their advertisements as above they show how one of their professional cameras (the EOS 5D) can be used to capture landscape shots with great clarity and colours compared to the advert below which is for one of their accessible cameras which shows a camera clearly not meant to be passed off as a professional camera as the image just shows how small the camera is in someones hands showing its portability and ability to travel light.
